- Particle sensing monitor can be used outside of Japan?
- Basically, it can be used abroad. For Wi-Fi model, please check if there is no problem of Radio Law for Wi-Fi communication in your country before purchasing.
For your information, this product does NOT have CE mark.
- Calibration service is available?
- Yes, we can offer the calibration service for sensor unit by our own procedure. If you need, detach the sensor unit from monitor, then send it back to us. We normally recommend users to order the calibration or purchase new one for replacement every 1 year. If you want to check the certificate example in advance, please let us know.
- What is the maximum detectable particle size?
- Sensor can detect all the particles which enter the sensing area, regardless of its particle size. However, it is difficult to suction several tens of micron or larger due to its performance of suction fan.
- What is Reference LED indication?
- Reference LED flashes when AES-FPM detects a few μm. This is the sub function to indicate the detection of a few μm (pcs/min) for reference. For AES-FPM-2/52 and AES-FPM-4/54, its threshold for the number of target particles detected can be changed according to Monitoring Software or communication protocol. or communication protocol. The default setting is as follows.
・0.3μm Detection Model…2pcs/min.
・0.5μm Detection Model…2pcs/5min
*For AES-LPM, the particle size can be changed by communication.
- What is the difference from Optical Particle Counter(OPC)?
- Sensor was developed on the basis of the detection principle of OPC and has the good correlation with our standard OPC. Please note that AES-FP is suitable not for the replacement of OPC but for continuous monitoring at multiple places due to its performance and the product design concept.
- What is the measurement interval?
- For 0.3μm Detection Model of AES-FP series, the average measurement value for 60 seconds is updated every 1 second.
For 0.5μm Detection Model of AES-FP series and AES-LPM, the average measurement value for 300 seconds is updated every 1 second.
- What is Ingress Protection(IP) code?
- IP code cannot be specified for our AES-FP series.
- What is the detection principle?
- Light‐scattering method is used as optical particle counter.
- Logging function is included?
- AES-FP does NOT have data logging function.
- How can it be set on a wall?
- AES-FPM can be set on the wall by hooking the hole behind AES-FPM.
- What is the communication mode of Modbus?
- Modbus/TCP is for Ethernet/Wi-Fi communication.
Modbus/RTU is for RS485 connection.
- What is the frequency and communication standard for Wi-Fi?
- Wi-Fi frequency is 2.4 GHz, and communication standard is IEEE 802.11 b/g/n.
- What is the recommended number of units to be installed?
- It is difficult to provide a recommendation for the number of units to be installed. Since this product does not have enough suction capacity to define the flow rate over a certain period of time, we normally ask our customers to set priority management points at first and install the units there.
- The output value of the Particle Sensing Monitor is different from that of our own standard optical particle counter(OPC).
- It is possible to adjust the output of the sensor by setting coefficients via communication or Monitoring Software based on the results of comparative measurements with the customer's standard OPC in the actual installation environment. Particle Sensing Monitor is not a measuring instrument like OPC, but a sensor product suitable for real-time monitoring of abnormalities.
- Is it an explosion-proof device?
- No explosion-proof certification has been obtained, so please use in a non-explosion area.
